Jersey issues fixed, Chris Wondolowski is still scoring goals for the USMNT. And it’s probably because he’s keeping the now-infamous extra (and possibly lucky) ‘W’ on his jersey even though the rest of us can’t see it. The Earthquakes striker tallied two goals as a substitute as the US rallied to pummel Cuba, 4-1, in their second game of Gold Cup action. After the game, he revealed to Fox that he had a third ‘W’ sewn on the inside of his jersey.
I guess it’s his best option when you eliminate permanently changing his name to Wondowlowski. He now has six career international goals, all in the last eight days, five with an additional ‘W’ attached somewhere on his body.
