The United States will be missing Clint Dempsey and Michael Bradley for its World Cup qualifiers against Jamaica and Panama. The United States., which already has clinched its seventh straight World Cup berth, selected only 20 players for Friday night's game against Jamaica and the match four days later at Panama, which concludes qualifying. Dempsey has not played since Sept. 13 because of a strained right hamstring, and Bradley has been sidelined since spraining his left ankle during pregame warmups at Costa Rica on Sept. 6. Three of the players were not in camp ahead of the September qualifiers: defender Brad Evans, midfielder Sacha Kljestan and forward Terrence Boyd. "We want to finish qualifying on a high note and prove a point in our region," said Klinsmann in a released statement. "We don't view these games as the end of World Cup qualifying. For us, it's the start of preparations for the World Cup, and therefore we have to continue to raise the bar. We have had such amazing support from our fans throughout the last two years, and we owe it to them to put our best foot forward." Team USA has never had a better year, at least measured by results. Their 2-0 win over bitter rival Mexico in September punched the Americans' ticket to the 2014 World Cup with two games to spare, and set a record for most wins in a calendar year (14) in the bargain. Roster Goalkeepers : Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Tim Howard (Everton), Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake) Defenders : DaMarcus Beasley (Puebla), Matt Besler (Sporting Kansas City) Geoff Cameron (Stoke City), Edgar Castillo (Club Tijuana), Brad Evans (Seattle Sounders FC), Omar Gonzalez (LA Galaxy) Midfielders : Kyle Beckerman (Real Salt Lake), Alejandro Bedoya (Nantes), Mix Diskerud (Rosenborg), Jermaine Jones (Schalke), Sacha Kljestan (Anderlecht), Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City) Forwards : Jozy Altidore (Sunderland), Terrence Boyd (Rapid Vienna), Landon Donovan (LA Galaxy), Aron Johannsson (AZ Alkmaar), Eddie Johnson (Seattle Sounders FC)
