Clint Dempsey is ''relieved'' the process that led to him joining Tottenham after more than five years with Fulham is over. But for the next few days, his focus is mainly on just one squad - his national team, which plays a World Cup qualifier in Jamaica on Friday. Dempsey spoke about his surprise move to Tottenham on Monday, when the U.S. men's team began training in Miami for the home-and-home series with the Reggae Boyz. Dempsey says he's ''disappointed'' about how the move to Tottenham was portrayed, but he's eager to get on with this next stage of his career. He's also ready to return to the field after not playing any competitive matches since June. U.S. coach Jurgen Klinsmann says if Dempsey is physically ready, he'll play Friday.

Ferguson gets win in milestone match

The Premier League is already going at a hundred miles an hour, and in a way it's a shame we have to step back for the international break. Of course I'll be rooting for my boys against Moldova and Ukraine, but it's hard for me to imagine that any games can top what we've seen these past three weeks. First off, I have to congratulate Sir Alex Ferguson on his 1000th...

This time is was Gary Cotteril in all his goofy-’toothedness’ standing outside giving up to...
