With less than two weeks to go before the start of the 2013 MLS campaign, it was announced that Landon Donovan would return to the LA Galaxy sometime in late March.  The decision comes after a third MLS Cup victory with the Galaxy and the exit of teammate David Beckham.  It was rumored after last season that perhaps Donovan would be the next to leave the club and retire at a relatively early age of only thirty.  Donovan missed the World Cup Qualifier against Honduras, and will more than likely miss the upcoming matches against Costa Rica and rival Mexico, which is less than inspiring news for Coach Klinsmann and the rest of the US Men’s National Team.  Donovan is the all time leading goal scorer for the United States, and it leaves me wondering what exactly his exit would mean to, not only the Galaxy, but to MLS and  US Soccer in general.
