Fulham have made an improved offer for Aston Villa striker Darren Bent. Having seen a £4million bid turned down earlier this summer the Cottagers have returned with an offer of £4.75million plus add-ons for the 29-year-old but it is believed that Villa want £6million. Newcastle were also keen on signing the former England international earlier this summer but recently dropped their interest.
