Spurs fear Gareth Bale's head has been turned by Real Madrid. Jose Mourinho plans to hold Frank Lampard back for the games that really matter to Chelsea. Newcastle are lining up a double bid for Lyon stars Bafetimbi Gomis and Bakary Kone. Crystal Palace are plotting a double swoop for Umaru Bangura and Osman Sow. Stephen Ireland is poised to follow former Newcastle goalkeeper Shay Given to Doncaster. QPR striker Jamie Mackie is poised to join Nottingham Forest.
