Asamoah Gyan eyeing goals against Sudan
Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan hopes to score against Sudan to honour the memory of his late mother but not to the detriment of a Black Stars win.
The Al Ain striker’s mother was finally laid to rest last weekend after her untimely death in a car crash last November in Accra.
The 27-year-old has however assured he will not be selfish in his pursuit to score against Sudan amidst muted concerns he will be chasing personal glory to honour his late mother.
“Of course it is not easy losing a loved one such as your mother but that is past and gone,” he told Angel FM.
“We now have a crucial game against Sudan so that’s where the focus is now.
“If I score, for sure the goal will be dedicated to my mum but if I don’t then the greatest tribute I can offer is to help the team beat Sudan.
“I can give an assist to someone else to score. The most important thing is to get the win.”
