The path to scoring a goal, as we often detail on Goal Rewind, is usually a process stamped with the creative genius and deft execution of numerous contributing players. It frequently takes a series of positive influences, in the form of splitting passes, timely runs and one-on-one wins, to supply the necessary buildup magic for your average EPL goal. It is a team game after all. Then again, there are also those rare moments when a sudden flash of brilliance is all that is needed. When all that beautiful link up play goes by the wayside and one action abruptly settles the ball in the back of the net. This past weekend that moment came 3 times… in one match.
