Spain left-back Jordi Alba is to return to Barcelona after suffering a hamstring injury in Friday's World Cup qualifying draw with Finland, his club have confirmed. Alba will undergo tests on a right hamstring injury suffered in the 1-1 draw, which is set to rule him out of Tuesday's Group I meeting with France in Madrid. A Barcelona statement read: "Jordi Alba will return to Barcelona to undergo tests by the club's medical services after he picked up an injury to his right hamstring during the Spain-Finland match. "Barcelona will reveal the extent of the player's injury on Sunday." Doncaster moved five points clear at the top after capitalising on the postponed fixtures elsewhere. The bad weather hit football matches across the country, with four fixtures in the third tier postponed. Shrewsbury's meeting with Oldham, Crawley's clash with Crewe and Colchester's meeting with MK Dons were all called off, with Sheffield United's fourth-versus-second clash against Brentford the highest profile casualty of the weather. Brian Flynn's table-toppers capitalised on that at Scunthorpe, where they ran out 3-2 victors. David Mirfin's own goal and an Iain Hume effort put Rovers two goals ahead at Glanford Park, only for Mark Duffy to reduce the deficit late in the first half. Chris Brown netted Doncaster's third minutes after the restart and, despite a late Karl Hawley goal for the visitors, the visitors held on for three points. Swindon moved up to second in the standings on goal difference after a 0-0 home draw with Notts County. The Robins were one of three teams on 67 points along with Brentford and Bournemouth, who reached that tally with a 4-1 home defeat of Bury. Brett Pitman put the Cherries ahead after eight minutes and, after Andy Bishop had levelled, efforts from Matt Ritchie, Harry Arter and Matt Tubbs secured victory. Yeovil missed the chance to move into fifth after a stunning late comeback by Carlisle. The Glovers were 3-1 up as the match came to a close, courtesy of Kevin Dawson, Paddy Madden and James Hayter goals. However, Lee Miller netted his second of the afternoon in the 90th minute and then Luke Ayling put into his own goal in stoppage-time to make it 3-3. Elsewhere, Preston were held to a goalless draw at home to Leyton Orient and bottom-placed Hartlepool drew 0-0 with Walsall. Portsmouth's recent revival continued with a 2-0 win over beleaguered Coventry, with Jed Wallace and Patrick Agyemang grabbing the goals. Promotion hopefuls Tranmere face Stevenage on Sunday should the game get the go ahead.
