Hull manager Steve Bruce is closing in on midfielders Morgan Amalfitano and Eric Tie Bi – because he can’t get value for money in England. Bruce has already missed out on Stoke’s Wilson Palacios who played for him at Wigan and Sunderland big-earning captain Lee Cattermole signed by the 52-year-old for both the Latics and Wearsiders this summer. And another Black Cats midfielder Jack Colback is also about to slip through the Premier League newcomers' net. Colback has been offered an improved contract at the Stadium of Light having turned down their initial terms for a new deal. So Bruce has switched his sights on France international Amalfitano and Ivory Coast international Tie Bi as he bids to beef up the squad ahead of the Premier League opener at Chelsea on Sunday week. He will pay £1.5million to bring in Amalfitano from Marseille on a season-long loan and hand their French rivals Evian £1.6m for ball-winner Tie Bi who has been allowed to join City on their trip to German...
