I don’t get it. Robbie Rogers comes out and makes the announcement that he is gay, then he says he is stepping away form the game of soccer. Don’t they allow Gay people to play soccer in this country? I am sure if we searched hard enough we couldn’t find any rules that prohibit gay people from playing soccer. This is 2013 for crying out loud. There are gay people in all kinds of professions. Why does Rigers think because he came out and said he is gay he has to walk away form the game? Rogers plays or should we say played for the U.S. national team. That means this guy is a great soccer player. You just don’t walk on to the U.S. national team.
