Chelsea defender David Luiz has accepted Sergio Aguero's apology following the Argentinian's two-footed challenge on Sunday. City striker Sergio Aguero wrote on his official Twitter account: "I've contacted @DavidLuiz-4 and apologized for what happened during the match. It was an impulse reaction that shouldn't have happened." Luiz responded: "Thank you @aguerosergiokun for a demonstration of character. We get to know great man and athletes this way." Both of Aguero's boots made contact with the upper part of Luiz's left leg as the two tangled late in City's 2-1 win, which secured a place against Wigan in next month's final.
