Jamie O’Hara is the latest pundit to weigh in on Manchester United’s acquisition of Jadon Sancho. The 21-year-old completed a transfer to the Old Trafford club earlier this week after an extensive pursuit.

Sancho was the subject of strong interest from Manchester United for several years and after a move collapsed at the 11th hour last year, interest was renewed in 2021 and a return to England was eventually confirmed.

Sancho is likely to join Marcus Rashford and Edinson Cavani in a three-man attack but will be assisted by Bruno Fernandes, who prefers to operate in an advanced midfield role. Still, the 26-year-old is the leading point-scoring midfielder in the Premier League.

Former Tottenham midfielder and now pundit, Jamie O’Hara, is still not convinced by United’s firepower and has insisted that Tottenham, Liverpool, and Manchester City all have more at the top-end of the pitch.

“Liverpool have the best front-three in the Premier League – Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah,” O’Hara told talkSPORT.

“That’s better than Man United’s, for me. Not based on last season, just based on talent and what they can produce when they’re at their best.

“I’d also argue Man City, if they line up with Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez and Kevin De Bruyne as a false-nine, that’s probably better than Manchester United’s, too.

“City do need to sign a new striker, but KDB is brilliant when he plays there. If it’s a choice between Gabriel Jesus and Cavani, you’d have to say Cavani, but if you’re talking Foden or Rashford, you’d say Foden.

“In my opinion, I think Spurs’ front-three at their best is still better than that Manchester United front-three. Son is better than Rashford, Kane is better than Cavani, and OK Moura is not better than Sancho.”

Sancho was granted an extended break following his involvement in this summer’s European Championship but could make his Manchester United debut in their Premier League curtain-raiser against Leeds on August 14.
