Tottenham defender Sebastien Bassong is frustrated at his lack of playing time at the club and is reportedly pondering his future. The Cameroon center back has started only one English Premier League game for Spurs this season, with a handful of substitute appearances. ''Whether I stay or go, a solution has to be found,'' Bassong said on Tuesday on the website of sports daily L'Equipe. ''I need to play.'' The fine form of William Gallas, Younes Kaboul and Ledley King, and Michael Dawson's recent return from injury means Bassong is effectively Spurs' fifth-choice center back, and his opportunities are likely to remain limited. ''I wasn't expecting it. That's football. ... You can find yourself at the top or at the bottom just as quickly,'' Bassong added. ''This obviously means you ask yourself questions.'' Cameroon failed to qualify for the African Cup of Nations this month, so Bassong doesn't have that event to get some more playing time. Third-place Tottenham can move level on points with second-place Manchester United by beating Everton on Wednesday.
