A busy summer awaits Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool as they try to restore the club to the top of the domestic and European games.

After going close on all four fronts just a year ago, the Reds have crashed out of all four cup competitions and find themselves struggling to make the Premier League's top four.

The midfield at Liverpool has been the subject of criticism throughout this campaign and wholesale changes are expected with Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Arthur Melo all almost certain to depart.

Jude Bellingham remains Klopp's number one midfield target but Mason Mount of Chelsea and Matheus Nunes of Wolves continue to be linked with a move to Anfield.

There have also been links to a whole host of other midfield players and AS (via Sport Witness) report that Liverpool are one of a number of clubs in the hunt for Celta Vigo's Gabriel Veiga.

The Spanish outlet claims that the Anfield hierarchy are 'willing to pay' the €40million required to sign the 20-year-old after joining the race alongside Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Atletico Madrid.
