Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament Rt. Hon. Edward Doe-Adjaho led a delegation to the funeral of Asamoah Gyan’s mother on Friday.
The Honourable Speaker arrived alongside his deputies; Hon Ebo Barton-Oduro and Joe Ghartey to pay their last respects to Madam Cecelia Love Amoako who died in a car crash last November.
The highly powered delegation from Ghana’s legislature consoled the Gyan family in particular the Black Stars captain in their moment of grief.
“We were informed of the unfortunate passing of the mother of Asamoah Gyan, the captain of our national team,” Minority Leader Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu said on behalf of the Speaker at the funeral grounds in Gbawe, Accra.

Asamoah Gyan will arrive in Ghana on Thursday for two important engagements – to attend the funeral of his late mum and also play in the 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan.
