I have to be the largest Michael Ballack fan in the country at the moment, and this video only fuels my need for as much Ballack as humanly possible on a day-to-day basis. Yeah, I know that sounds creepy.

When England tied France 1-1 on Sunday, Alex Lalas seemed to think that England had done a masterful job with the way it played, and he expressed his thoughts on ESPN’s Euro 2012 postgame show. Michael Ballack…let’s just say he disagreed, and as usual, he did so in broken English. My favorite highlight:

“This has nothing to do with the Germans. If you park three buses in front of the goal, that’s not football. They’re sitting back most of the time, but with 10 players it’s difficult to create chances.”

Riiiight.

Ballack clearly believes there is only one way to play the beautiful game, and it’s not by “parking three buses” near the goal, apparently. I think Alexi Lalas is a little taken back by the way that Ballack vehemently disagrees with him. Usually, they’re tight as can be.

Not when it comes to England-France though. Is it possible that Ballack just hates England because of it’s an ally of the United States? We can certainly assume, but we can’t say for sure. What do we know, though? Michael Ballack is not impressed.
