Chelsea striker Fernando Torres doesn't think the return of manager Jose Mourinho will affect his future with the Premier League side. Torres said on Friday that Mourinho's return to Stamford Bridge is ''great news'' for the club and that it will not alter his plans to finish out his contract. ''I have three more years on my contract so I am not worried. I know my future is there,'' the Spain striker said. ''To be honest, it is like this every summer,'' Torres said in a conference call with journalists from Miami. ''There is talk and speculation. But as I said when I signed my contract I will be there for five and a half season. My future is there, and my present is with the national team.'' Torres is set to play the Confederations Cup with Spain in Brazil starting on June 15. Spain plays friendlies in Miami and New York before. Torres had struggled since his move to Chelsea but showed marked improvement in the second half of last season under interim coach Rafa Benitez, the same man who brought him to his former club Liverpool from Spain. The former Atletico Madrid standout helped Chelsea win the Europa League and qualify for the Champions League next season. ''In the beginning it wasn't easy since I didn't score, but over the past year it has been better,'' Torres said. ''I have been scoring, but I know I can do better.'' Torres insisted that he had not changed anything in either his training methods or mental preparation, just that he was reaping the benefits of his team's all-around improvement under Benitez. ''I have been performing better because the team has been doing better,'' he said. ''There is no secret.'' Mourinho was hired by Chelsea on Monday after three tumultuous seasons with Real Madrid that included public conflicts with his squad. The Portuguese manager's first stint with Chelsea was from 2004-07, when he guided it to two league titles and one FA Cup. Spain plays Haiti in Miami on Saturday, and then takes on Ireland in Yankee Stadium on Tuesday. Spain opens the Confederations Cup against Uruguay on June 16 in Recife. It then plays Tahiti and Nigeria in its group.
