Manchester City defeated Paris Saint-Germain in the sem-finals of the UEFA Champions League last season. The capital club did make some additions, such as bringing in Lionel Messi, but the core of this team remains the same.

Ahead of Tuesday night’s clash, Manchester City forward Riyad Mahrez spoke to the media at his press conference. The forward discussed the Ligue 1 side and what he expects from the opposition, which now has Messi in its attack.

“It’s a very good team. Almost the same team of the season with Messi, Hakimi, and Wijnaldum. They are better this season with a larger squad. They are stronger than last year, but there is not much between the two teams,” Mahrez said.

“Paris made a big splash in Ligue 1. It will be very tight. The best will win Tuesday night. They are strong everywhere. They are strong in front and behind. I had forgotten Sergio Ramos and their new keeper. I think they are better.”
