Whitecaps 1 – 2 RSL For the second straight match, it seemed as though the referee was wearing tinted glasses, this time claret coloured. Love ‘em Great Scot once again.. More times this evening, it seemed as though the colour commentators had said something along the lines of ‘A beautiful ball by Robson!’ than scoring chances by the Whitecaps. Barry Robson continued to show he brings more than experience and a scoring touch to the Whitecaps, this time giving ‘Caps captain Jay DeMerit a piece of his mind after the rough challenge in the air that led to a penalty. Robson played as near perfect as you can play during the first 70 minutes of Sunday’s match against San Jose, following it up with a terrific 90 minute performance tonight in Utah. In Rennie we trust.. Newcomer Dane Richards gave the San Jose backline nightmares on Sunday, and continued this tonight, having a few great opportunities, including two of them that ended in corner kicks.
