Things to Watch: This Joey Votto Profile

This is not Bearcat related in the slightest, but this feature about Joey Votto talking about the death of his father and subsequent depression really hit home with me. When I was laying in bed after I woke up this morning, I started thinking about it’s been nearly two years since my dad has died. More specifically, I was thinking about how during the morning I went to get my oil...

The 5 Necessary Proposed College Basketball Rule Changes ☆

The college basketball season is over, shocker, which means it’s time to go back to the drawing board and look for more ways to improve the game. The major rule changes last year cracked down on hand checking and the charge rule. I would say for the most part that it helped. Pat Forde of Yahoo wrote about some of the new potential rule changes for this upcoming year, which should...

Making Sense of the National Title Game

Earlier today, my good friend / worst enemy Chris Bains wrote up a post on Cincy on the Prowl about 4 reasons you want UConn win the title. Since he has half the brains that I do: Here are 4 reasons you should want Kentucky to win the National Title. 1 – JK who the hell wants Kentucky to win the title besides the players, coaches, Ashley Judd and tattoo guy? The real post is who...

UC Basketball to US Bank Arena? ☆

I'M HEARING from big @uofcincy donors pushing 4 UC to play at renovated US Bank Arena. We know @CoachCroninUC likes it. @Enquirer @PrezOno — Cliff Peale (@cliffpeale) April 2, 2014 This would be a pretty good move. US Bank, 5/3 Arena, I personally don’t care where they play the games. I do think that the renovation of one of them is a must. 5/3 debuted with Bob Huggins....

Sean Kilpatrick: AP 1st Team All American

The AP All American team was released this afternoon. It was headlined by Cincinnati’s Sean Kilpatrick. Killa was joined by Shabazz Napier and Russ Smith of UConn and Louisville respectively, as well as Creighton senior Doug McDermott and Duke’s Jabari Parker. Cincinnati Spring Game Information ☆

The Cincinnati spring game is next weekend at Paul Brown Stadium. If for some reason you can not see that image, let me tell you about things. 10 Parking is $5 in some assigned lots. The good part of this game, and season, being at PBS is that you don’t have to park at UC so there will actually be places to park. Parking opens in those lots at 10.
