Future coach in the making?
St Joe’s head coach Phil Martelli’s grandson loves him so much that he imitates him during games.
CBS, of course would capitalize of the cuteness of a four year old that idolizes his grandpa by doing an in-game interview.
Steve Smith was doing a radio interview with Dan Le Batard when he was pulled over by the cops. When he was asked if he was pulled over for being on his cell phone, here is what Smith had to say courtesy of TD Daily.
Smith: When you don’t have nay warrants or prior arrests, it goes a long way.
Le Batard: Did you drop the Steve Smith Card.
Smith: No, my ID says that. My ID cleared...
You can now add the Raiders and Jets to a list of teams trying to trade for DeSean Jackson. That comes with the knowledge of not really knowing if Jackson is even on the trade block.
I said early the #Jets were among the teams that called the #Eagles about DeSean Jackson. Two others: #Panthers & #Raiders. Lots of interest

Did someone say Beast Mode?
Michigan State’s Adreian Payne started his fourth March Madness experience with a bang, when the senior forward scored the most points in a NCAA tournament game since Seth Curry in 2008.
Payne bested his former career high by six points, dropping 41 against Delaware in the Spartans first game of the tourney. He set the tone early with a monster first...
Kevin Durant can be a filthy finisher at times, and tonight was no exception when he hammered down this nasty alley-oop against the woeful Cleveland Cavaliers.
He avoided a technical for taunting on the play.

What good is it being the fastest man in the world if you can’t slow down from time to time and have a little a fun?
Well Usain Bolt will never find out because he’s been getting busy in his down time, visiting Trinidad & Tobago for its yearly Carnival celebration. While there Bolt decided to partake in some of the local delicacies (and I’m not necessarily referring...
Eight years ago today, Twitter was born and our lives were changed forever. Okay so maybe the Twitter effect hasn’t been that dramatic, but it has undeniably made our lives more fun.
To honor their eight year anniversary, Twitter has launched a website that allows you to look up almost every users first tweet ever.
So of course, people have spent all day looking up athletes first...
Scary moment for the Cincinnati Reds when Aroldis Chapman was struck by a line drive hit on Wednesday. Chapman was subsequently carted off the field and went in for surgery on Thursday.
Chapman will have a metal plate inserted to help repair a broken bone above his left eye, which will remain there permanently. Chapman suffered a minor concussion from the hit and barring no complications...
Jason Collins’ return to the NBA as an openly gay man has gone as pretty smooth as someone in his position can imagine. His teammates have bee supportive and respectful.
As well as the entire league as a whole.
Collins admitted that there has been one sour moment. In a conversation with the New York Daily News, Collins said that only “one knucklehead from an opposing team...
I’m not sure if this is an indicator of Houston’s draft plans, but the signing says a lot.
Ryan Fitzpatrick is signing with the #Texans, source said.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 20, 2014
The signing likely means the end of the Matt Schaub era in Houston, and it should usher in the Blake Bortles or Johnny Manziel in for the Texans.
Arthur didn’t waste any time.
Out with the old and in with the new. Here are the details courtesy of AJC.com.

Blank’s former wife of 16 years, Stephanie, filed divorce papers in Fulton County in February of 2013.
CBS posted this nifty little infographic during Thursday’s coverage of March Madness, which broke down the tournament mascots by animal classification. Unfortunately for them they kind of goofed when it came to the Florida Gators mascot.
Any person with even the most basic understanding of zoology knows that gators are reptiles, not amphibians. I’d say that the person responsible...
It didn’t take long for those hoping to win $1 billion dollars from investment tycoon Warren Buffett to be eliminated from contention.
It’s called March Madness because anybody can go down. And that’s exactly what happened in one of the first games of the tournament when 6th seeded Ohio State University lost to 11th seeded Dayton. Well…there goes 80% percent of the brackets...

Swaggy coming back to make sure the Lakers don’t finish with the worst record in franchise history. Here is what he had to say to Eric Pincus of the LA Times.

“It’s always fun playing against your old team, but we’ve just got to finish...
A lot of Los Angeles Angeles Lakers fans will scoff at Mitch Kupchak’s assertion that head coach Mike D’Antoni has been anything but terrible but I think he has a valid point.
D’Antoni has had to deal with so much adversity since joining the Lakers, some of it admittedly was self administered but a lot of it was out of his control.
Kupchak defended his head coach in the...

According to Pro Football Talk both Underwood and Cone are meeting with Panthers today.
That is all I got.

12th year Senior Aaron Craft career has finally come to an end, but alas Twitter is not done with him.
After missing a game winning layup, this photo was captured by CBS and the great photoshoppers of Twitter went to work.
SEC Defensive Player of the Year Michael Sam hoped to better his NFL prospects during Mizzou’s pro day after a disappointing performance at the league’s combine.
Sam improved on his 4.91 40-time by clocking a 4.7 during his first run before pulling up lame. He would not complete his 2nd attempt.
Sam also weighed in at 263 pounds and did 19 bench press reps.
