The Browns FO is ready for this...
After all the bad setups for the Browns front office starting with Carmen Policy and Dwight Clark to Phil Savage and Romeo Crennel...the Holmgren-Heckert came just at the right time. The upcoming timeline for the post lockout wold is a little fast paced. The team that will fair the best have experienced people ready to work a plan that has been setup for months. Bringing the Blog Back
The blog has been idle for a while but it's time for a comeback. The blog will be changing to more a Cleveland sports feel inside just Browns info. The blog will still be heavy Browns content because Cleveland is Browns town no matter what the other sports are doing. So be on lookout for more frequent post and an updated site in the coming weeks.

Run Browns Run
The Browns over the past two weeks have found themselves in the running game. Now that they have better QB play they can crank up the play action pass as a real threat see the Evan Moore TD last week. While the Browns aren't ready to light it up in the passing game they are ready to add a legit threat of the play action pass to an offense in need of a new threat.

The Cribbs Factor-Where is it?
The defensive side of the ball got an injection in the off season with the additions of Sheldon Brown, Scott Fujita, Chris Gocong, Joe Haden, and TJ Ward. All of these players are making a big contribution so far this season. The Browns have a top 15 defense in yards and scoring defense. The offense did not get the same attention in the offiseason. So for a team lacking a talent infusion the

The Holmgren effect-Browns v. Chiefs
Today we get to see the first results of what I call the Holmgren effect. One of the under reported benefits of Holmgren being with the Browns is that he can coach up Eric Mangini. This is first for the new Browns since they have come back. They finally have someone in the building who is not the coach or general manager who is a football guy will a recent track record of success...

Browns: Don't get too excited about the draft
While I think the Browns did solid job with the draft; it's way to early to get excited. The other that I don't do is give grades on drafts when none of the players have hit anybody in a different uniform. It will be interesting to see come training camp how things play out. Until then the biggest issue pending the Browns is the Restricted Free Agents who haven't signed...

Trade the 7th Overal Pick...Fix the Browns QB Problem
The Browns can give a kid coming out of college a raise over what the 7th pick got last year and the team will be a littler better. If they trade the 7th pick in the draft to Philly for McNabb they can compete for the playoffs for next 5 years. If the Browns stay at 7 they will have to pay a rookie a raise over the 23.5 million guarenteed 7th pick got last year. This money would given to a kid

Browns trim roster to 52...No surprises
I guess the only surprise is they went down to 52 which makes me think they are trying to get another deal done. The only person who knows is Eric Mangini. You can get the details here.

Could the Cleveland Browns end up with 3 picks in the first round?
As the rumors swirl around what the Cleveland Browns will do on draft day, the one thing that is common in all the reports is Cleveland Browns want to make splash. The team only has five draft picks because of the trades made by Phil Savage and they need more help than 5 players will solve. The bottom line is they needmore picks to bring this team back to life. I don't have any...
