Today is a very sad day in Michigan sports and all of college football.
Bo Schembechler did today at 11:42 after collapsing during his weekly football show on Channel 7 out of Detroit.
This is very sad and ironic. He died the day before possibly the greatest game in the rivalry.

With all the talk of the sudden surge of UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) and mixed martial arts, I took it upon my self to do a little constructive research. After a short time I found hardcore proof that mixed martial arts has been around since the prehistoric age!

Just an update to anyone who still reads this (aka, my sister). We have just relaunched our new site here at HSN.com and the madness is finally starting to calm down. Next week I plan to start regularly blogging again, well unless I am too drunk, tired, lazy or all 3. There's actually...

Now I'm sure all of you were suprised as hell when you either A: got a e-mail saying I posted a new entry or B: for strange reason decided to look on here and just your luck found something new. One thing I would like to say is that I was stuck and upstate New York basically away...

I could care less if my UNC Tar Heels got the last seed in the March Madnees tourny, I'm sticking with them until the end. And for those of you that think I am a bandwagoner, you can just go search through my archives if you care that much and find my March Madness entries from...

I was coming home from work today, and coming up behind me on the freeway was a new mustang. Got me thinking. What do you not want to see in your rear view mirror.
Well, not a green 68 390 GT Mustang, or a Black # 3 Monte Carlo, of a black and white Dodge charger with bubble gum mac...

Thanksgiving In Duxbury
Duxbury is a quaint little town, 40 miles SE of Boston. Not a lot goes on here, but it's pretty.

So the Cavs are playing better and it's OSU vs Michigan week so that is
always exciting. Life is ok unless of course this weekend doesn't turn
out alright.
But I actually want to bring up a point that was recently made in the
comments below. Basically, what has happened...

Today the Giants looked as if they were playing in early September. This 41-17 loss to Minnesota at home was not only reminiscent of the Giants first home loss to Green Bay, but it looked as if the team was out of sync in the way a team that hasn't practiced enough might look. This is the...

The JETS travel to Baltimore this week to face the Ravens. Here is my preview.
JETS OFFENSE vs. Ravens Defense

If the BCS Is So Great ....

My first comeback to someone who defends the BCS is "if it is so great, then why are they the only sport to have a setup like that?" Usually I get no answer.
In leu of that, I'm gonna set up the NFL postseason the same sort of way:

I've always said on this blog that the BCS is a joke. The BCS works just fine when teams are undefeated. But what happens when #1 and #2 lose at season's end? What happens when the Big XII and SEC champion are ranked LOWER than teams that didn't even make those conferences...

With the short week following the All Star game, there isn't a ton to talk about. The biggest winner over the weekend was the Dodgers, who swept San Francisco and passed San Diego, who dropped two of three against Arizona. Minnesota also took advantage of its first series of the...

Another great NASCAR team goes by the way side. Morgan/McClure Racing is closing its doors because of lack of sponsors. The big teams get bigger and the single car teams go by the way side.
