Luol Deng named to All Star Team
For the first time since 1997-1998, when both Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen made the team, the Chicago Bulls will have two all stars playing in the NBA All Star Game. Luol Deng was named a reserve for the Eastern Conference squad, joining teammate Derrick Rose, who was voted in as a starter for the East.
For the season, Deng is averaging 16.0 points on 50.9 TS%, and 7.3 rebounds...

Week in Review: Bulls Missing Deng, Dwight Howard Speculation
This past week of the season has easily been the worst of the Bulls’ season so far, with the Bulls going 2-2. The Bulls got wins over the Washington Wizards and New York Knicks, neither of which is a very good team. The Bulls lost to two of the better teams in the Eastern Conference in the Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers.
One thing that has become clear to me coming out...

Bulls start to season encouraging and scary at same time
I haven’t had a ton of time lately with school starting up again, and working a full time job to find the time to consistently write about each and every Bulls game like I have liked to do i the past, so with this post, I am going to just give an overview of my thoughts on the Bulls first 1/3 of the season.
Overall, I think Bulls fans have to be encouraged by the Bulls record...

Bulls lucky to get comeback win against Hawks
The Chicago Bulls got a nice come from behind victory over the Atlanta Hawks, overcoming a 19-point deficit in the second half to get the 76-74 win. While it’s nice that the Bulls were able to notch another one in the win column, they can’t keep having these horrible offensive stretches.
The Bulls only had 26 points at halftime, scoring a dismal 11 points in the second quarter...

Bulls get 40-point win over Grizzlies
The Chicago Bulls did a good job putting on the show for the United Center fans tonight in the Bulls’ home opener, completely obliterating the Memphis Grizzlies 104-64.
The Bulls looked like they were going to blowout the Grizzlies from the get go, getting out to an early double digit lead in the first quarter. That result became a certainty when Zach Randolph went down with...

Rose with 29 points, 16 assists in Bulls 114-101 win against Clippers
The Chicago Bulls finished their West Coast road trip to start the season with a 114-101 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers. The Bulls were led by an impressive 29 point, 16 assist, 8 rebound performance by Derrick Rose.
The game ended up being a contrast of two different styles, with the Clippers going for style and the Bulls going for substance. This is not to say that the...

Bulls Outrun the Kings, 108-98
After the lackluster performance Monday night against the Golden State Warriors, the Chicago Bulls revved it up to 11 for a win against the Sacramento Kings, 108-98. Carlos Boozer lead the way for Chicago with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Derrick Rose wasn’t a slouch either, scoring 19 points and dishing out 8 assists. However, the real hero of the game was CJ Watson who came...

Bulls win against Lakers not pretty, but still good
Far too many Bulls fans are already throwing up concerns about various Bulls players following the Bulls 88-87 Christmas Day victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. Yes, the Bulls didn’t play that well throughout the game, but they still got a road win over Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol to start their season.
What should not be lost in this game is that the Bulls played a fairly...

2011-2012 NBA Season Predictions
The NBA season has come fast upon us, so it’s time to make some predictions for the 66-game season that we will be getting this year.
Eastern Conference
1. Chicago Bulls (52-14) - With the addition of Richard Hamilton, who seems to be a good fit with the team, the Bulls now have a complete starting five and some of the best depth in the league. Over the course of a shortened...

Richard Hamilton a hit in Bulls debut
Richard Hamilton made his debut for the Chicago Bulls’ tonight in the Bulls’ 93-85 pre-season victory over the Indiana Pacers.
Hamilton got the start at shooting guard, and it looks like the rotation that we saw tonight is probably what the set rotation that Tom Thibodeau will play going into the season. In his first game with the Bulls, Hamilton seemed to be the glue...

Richard Hamilton will provide upgrade from Keith Bogans
Coming into the free agency period, Rip Hamilton, Jamal Crawford, and Jason Richardson were the three guys that Bulls fans seemed to have their eyes on. While the Richardson ended up re-signing with the Magic for $25 million over 4 years, the Bulls ended up having a chance at both Hamilton and Crawford, both very solid players.
Some murmurings have suggested that the Bulls went...

The Bulls sign Richard Hamilton
The Chicago Bulls officially signed former Detroit Piston’s all-star, Richard Hamilton Wednesday afternoon. The 33 year old shooting guard signed a 2 year, $10 million contract with a 3rd year team option. This signing puts the Bulls roster at 14.
While this signing was a no brainer, I can’t help but feel like the Bulls may have missed out on possibly a younger back court...

The NBA is back!
It seems like the 2011 Conference Finals was like 5 years ago doesn’t it? Watching the Bulls go down in 4 straight games was a little too hard for me to swallow so excuse me for not writing about it. You throw a really nasty 5 month lockout on top it and your motivation to be an NBA fan just goes down the crapper. Anyways, here we are 4 weeks before the NBA season starts and...

NBA Players Make Right Decision in Disbanding
The NBA Players Union announced today that they plan to disband their union and begin filing antitrust suits against the NBA. While I really would like to see an NBA season, it’s not hard to understand why the players are taking this action.
The NBA owners weren’t negotiating in any type of good faith with the players. They chose to beat the players over the head...

Nikola Mirotic Impressive At European U20 Games
Bulls 2011 first round draft pick just got done playing in the Under 20′s European Championship this past weekend, and he was by far the most impressive player to play in the tournament.
Mirotic was named the MVP of the tournament, receiving 85 percent of the vote, as he led Spain to their first U20 European Championship in the country’s history. Mirotic finished the...

What a Lockout Exhibition Season Could Look Like
With the NBA owners taking a hardline approach to their CBA negotiations, asking the player’s to make massive concessions to save the owners from their own stupidity, it looks as though the NBA season has a real possibility of being lost. But just because the NBA season is lost, doesn’t mean we can’t have some type of season featuring the best basketball talent...

Bulls Draft Nikola Mirotic and Jimmy Butler
Going into the NBA Draft this year, this has had to be the least exciting draft for me. There wasn’t much reason to be too hyped for it, as the Bulls are already a great team, and they came into the draft picking 28th and 30th. For this draft, I didn’t really have any high hopes of the Bulls selecting any particular player, and just wanted to see what the front office...

Mavericks Provide Perfect Ending to Great NBA Season
This has been one of the best NBA seasons that I can remember. There were so many good teams in the league this year, in both conferences, with legitimate shots at winning the championship.
The Miami Heat are probably the team most responsible for giving us such a great season. With three superstars coming together to make winning a championship easy, every fan of an opposing...

2011 Playoffs: Heat End Bulls Season With 83-80 Win
The Chicago Bulls season comes to an end as a result of some horrible officiating and some brilliant play from Lebron James, as the Heat beat the Bulls 83-80 to advance to the NBA Finals.
The officiating got really out of hand in the third quarter. With the Bulls looking to pull away from Miami with a 58-47 lead in the third quarter, the referees turned on the Bulls after Carlos...

Rose Needs to Keep Shooting Threes
After a horrendous 1-9 shooting night from three point range for Derrick Rose in Game 4 of the 2011 Eastern Conference Finals, many fans are looking at Rose to be more aggressive and drive to the hole more. While it would be nice to see Rose attack the basket more in transition, in the half court it has been difficult as the Miami defense collapses on the paint any time Rose tries...

2011 Playoffs: Heat Go Up 3-1 on Bulls With Overtime Win
The Chicago Bulls’ NBA Finals outlook is starting to look bleak, as the Miami Heat have took a commanding 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals after a 101-93 overtime victory in Miami.
The Bulls best shot at winning the game came at the end of regulation, but the Bulls came up short in large part because their superstar couldn’t deliver them the win in the clutch...

2011 Playoffs: Heat Take 2-1 Series Lead
The Miami Heat took a 2-1 series lead after defeating the Chicago Bulls 96-85 in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals in Miami.
First things first, this was a one-sided game by the referees. The Bulls were called for ticky tack fouls all night, while the Bulls would often drive to the basket, get hard contact, with no foul call. The Bulls somehow managed to have seven more...

2011 Playoffs: Heat Tie Series 1-1 With 85-75 Victory
The Chicago Bulls fell to the Miami Heat 85-75 at the United Center, and now the Eastern Conference Finals is tied 1-1 as the series heads back to Miami.
The Bulls looked to be in a good position to beat the Heat late in the fourth quarter, tying the game at 73 after going on a 17-6 run. The Bulls had held the Heat to only two points in the first 7 1/2 minutes of the fourth quarter...

How the NBA Can Stop Draft Lottery Conspiracies
If there is one aspect of the NBA that fans point to as possibly being rigged, it would be the NBA Draft Lottery. Some of the results just fit perfectly, such as hometown heroes Lebron James and Derrick Rose being able to go to the hometown team, even when the odds are small. While these storylines are great, logically, storylines like this will play out eventually. According...
