How Quickly They Forget
Just one short week ago the Maple Leafs were winless and at the bottom of the league. Well, they are still at the bottom of the league, but have put together three solid games, one win and two OT losses. I’m not sure what part of that modest success would make Niklas Hagman think that [...]

No Gaborik, but Wild use strong 2nd period to earn 3-2 home victory over the NY Rangers
Last season, it was supposed to be the big payoff season for Marian Gaborik as he attempted to raise his value for what was likely going to be the most lucrative contract of his NHL career. So Sayeth This Blogger: First Line's Set
If only Jim Zorn had this kind of offense. Coach Boudreau called out his top line of Ovi-Backstrom-Knuble, somewhat, after Tuesday's Duchesne Cup scrimmage, and on Wednesday the trio apparently got wind of the middling review. The line spent much of Wednesday's scrimmage toying with the opposition, playing keep-away with the puck and more or less humiliating a largely undefended...

An OFB Contest: What's Your Favorite Jersey?
I have a sickness: I've accumulated over 100 hockey jerseys. Supposedly the first step to recovery is to admit one has a problem (and Mrs. OC won't disagree that it's a problem, given how much closet space these puppies consume). I'll admit that some of my purchases have been ridiculous -- when I first discovered eBay years ago I went a little bargain-crazy. For instance...
