History: Willie Mays retires
This Friday (October 24) marks the 25th anniversary of Willie Mays' retirement. Mays only played part of two seasons for the Mets, including the 1973 "Ya' Gotta Believe" National League Chamionship team. But Mays did play six seasons with the New York Giants, before they moved to San Francisco.
