New Site
I've finally started working on the new site in earnest. I'm hoping to be ready by spring training. I haven't been ignoring the team. Far from it. Been reading a ton. My wife and I watched the Yu Darvish stuff tonight. One thought. "Yeah RIGHT, you didn't know what was on your T-Shirt you were wearing".

I'm still here. :)
I ended up getting sidetracked with another project during time I was going to work on the updates to this place. I still hope to have that in place before the start of the season.
Just wanted to let people know I'm still around. I'll probably get moving again once spring training starts.

I'm still here
Took me quite a while to come down from the sting (to put it mildly) of the World Series loss. I just hope we don't turn into the Buffalo Bills of the MLB.
Lots of things happening, one of which is a change in the website here. I'll have more to say in the next few weeks. But I'm still here. :)

WS G6: Rangers blow it multiple times, lose 10-9 in 11
I don't think I can write about that.
That was some EPIC level disappointment. Lost the lead five times, was within one strike of winning it all TWICE. Couldn't get the job done.
That's about all I can think of to write. Read the official links from the guys who get paid to write about the game. They have to. I don't.

Game 6 of World Series postponed by rain
Well, Game 6 of the World Series was postponed due to rain. If you're reading this, then you know it already, as I'm writing this after the point the game would have been over had it been played. :) This page is primarily here as a marker for my schedule page, so I can have an entry for the rainout.
It ended up working out for me OK enough, as the 26th is my wedding...

WS G5: Rangers take series lead with 4-2 win over Cards
This was a really bizarre game. But I can say this. It was one of the most stressful games I've watched in awhile.
CJ Wilson was dancing with trouble the whole time he was out there, but didn't really break. He made it into the sixth throwing 108 pitches. But he allowed four hits, and five walks. Granted, two of the walks were intentional to Pujols, but still. You always...

WS G4: Holland masterful; Rangers even series with 4-0 win
After getting trounced the night before, 16-7, I'm not sure many Rangers fans knew what to expect the next game out. Anyone who picked a near complete game shutout by Derek Holland was either really high on Holland, or perhaps just high. I don't think anyone really figured we'd get THAT good of a performance from Holland.

WS G2: Rangers come back late, beat Cards 2-1
That simple title does not do justice to this game at all. Not EVEN CLOSE. This was an epic game. There's so much to write about on this one, but I'll start it off with just two quick questions:
What if Elvis Andrus got the bunt down?
What if Albert Pujols cut off the ball?
While both of those questions happened during the same at bat, they're both really deep...

WS G1: Rangers lose tight Game 1 of World Series, 3-2
Well, one down. Unfortunately, it went in the wrong win column. But it wasn't as awful as all that. The bulk of the Cardinals' offense was on a single hit that Nelson Cruz almost got. It definitely fell under the category of "good break" for St. Louis.

Ranger Fans at the State Fair
I've done some promotional things with Chevy before. Last year I drove around a Chevy Cruze with antlers on it to do some rah-rah things. I went down with a few other Ranger bloggers in late March to Round Rock for the final exhibition game of this year's spring training. ALCS G6: Rangers blow out Tigers 15-5 to take series!
After the third inning, it was over. We still had to play five and a half more innings to make it official, but it was over. The nine run bottom of the third was something to behold.
This game had so many moments, had so many things go our way, I don't know where to begin. Honestly, I really don't know what to write about this game, it was so cool.

ALCS G5: Rangers doomed by big inning, lose 7-5
The Rangers went into game five, up 3-1, and needing just one win to get back to the World Series. Justin Verlander was the starter for the Tigers, and it would be a tall task to get past him.
We didn't. But he wasn't as infallible as normal. He did go 7.1 innings, and tossed a lot of pitches (133 total). But we did manage to get eight hits and three walks off of him...

Congrats!
The Rangers advanced to the World Series again last night. When the game ended and I stopped watching the post game stuff, I was pretty tired. Wasn't in the mood to write last night.
I will at some point today, just not now, as I'm watching the toddler, and it's about time to go outside and play with him.
But I didn't want to not say SOMETHING.

ALCS G4: Rangers win in 11, 7-3 to go up 3-1 in series
I'm pressed for time today, as I have a lot of things going on, so I can't write about this one too much, as much as I'd like to.
I think I can sum it up pretty good with the graphic I created after Cruz's grand slam the other night. It fits well here, too.

ALCS G3: Rangers drop one to Tigers, 5-3, now up 2-1
Well, I never thought the Rangers were going to sweep the Tigers. So a loss or two was inevitable. While one never wants their team to lose, it wasn't terribly ugly, either. So that's something positive in the loss.
Doug Fister was the story here. He pitched quite well. We picked up a run in the first, but that was it off of Fister until the Rangers got a second run...

ALCS G1: Rangers outlast Tigers and rain, win 3-2
October baseball continues, but for me, a first. I could watch it on TV, since it was on FOX. Fortunately, this year the Rangers are on Fox in the second round. So I sat down with my drink, my iPad, and watched the game.

The Tigers disposed of the Yankees. In Yankee Stadium. Sent them home. What's amusing about that is that it was Arod who struck out to end the Yankees 2011 season. He also struck out (against Neftali Feliz) to end the Yankees 2010 season as well. That reminds me of this image:

ALDS G4: Rangers win 4-3, advance to ALCS again!
I didn't get a chance to see the early part of the game, as I was watching a liveblog of the Apple iPhone 4S press conference as well as watching my kid, as my wife and my other kid were out of the house. :) After I did that daddy duty, I came onboard the game, although I did get to hear the couple of home runs early on by Kinlser & Beltre to give the Rangers a 2-0 lead...
