Here’s What Concerns Me For Week One
I’ve never seen it before and I hope to never see it again.
False Start – The entire Offensive Line
To be fair 3/5 of the starting group hasn’t even played together and Bryan Mattison is doing a workmanlike job as the only Center until Matt Birk returns. But a line needs time to build consistency and the Ravens certainly won’t have that going into a rivalry game where they...

This Just In – Ray Lewis Loves Football
This is last night’s Ray Lewis “interview” with Suzy Kolber. There are many fine points to take note of and I’ll give you a few of my favorites.
1) Joe Flacco tosses water in Ray’s face during the interview. I can picture it now. Ray Rice double dog daring his quarterback to toss water in the legend’s face during his media time. Tirico’s exclamation of “Flacco. Nice...

Tandon Doss Breaks up Knife Fight
Last night during the Ravens-Redskins pre-season game ESPN’s Mike Tirico made an interesting comment after rookie Tandon Doss hauled in his first pass of the evening. He had said that it was reported that earlier in the night Doss had broken up a fight at a local restaurant. Gruden let out a half-laugh wondering where Tirico had come by such information.
Apparently it’s true...

Ravens Edge Skins in Wild Finish; 34-31
In one of the most entertaining pre-season games in recent memory the Baltimore Ravens beat the Washington Redskins 34-31. Brandon Jones took a Tyrod Taylor pass and scored the game winning touchdown with twenty two seconds left as he leapt in the air and pushed the ball across the pylon.
Even though the game meant nothing to the standings it did highlight issues that the Ravens...

In one of the boldest moves of this off-season the Ravens have come to terms with Offensive Tackle Bryant McKinnie.

J.Wilson: “Redskins Fan Base Tops Ravens”
This Thursday the Baltimore Ravens will host the Washington Redskins for the third Pre-Season contest of 2011. This game is yet another “Beltway Battle” that frankly isn’t all that much of a rivalry.

Pre-Game Notes: All Eyes on Jimmy Smith
The Ravens first round pick cornerback Jimmy Smith will most likely see increased playing time in Friday’s game versus the Kansas City Chiefs. Harbaugh Says Flacco Will Have More Control Over Offense
There has been plenty of debate over Joe Flacco this off-season. Is he really an “elite” quarterback? (I’ve come to loathe that term) It seems that at times it climbed to an almost ridiculous and surreal level as anyone with a microphone or who used to sling the pigskin for a living was weighing in on the Jersey native.
My main point about him was that he never has been given...

Jah Reid should stay at Right Tackle
Reid should stay at right tackle for preseason
In our Ravens Gab Radio Roundtable on Tuesday one of the topics we (the writers) discussed was the offensive line, specifically the right tackle position. We believe that Ozzie Newsome will eventually bring in an experienced free agent right tackle once other teams make roster cuts.
In the meantime, the Ravens should allow rookie...

The 6-foot-4, 325-pound...
