Stopped by Ball Don’t Lie just to surf the internet while getting my Honey Bunches of Oats on. One of my regular morning stops around the net. First post says “NBA Commercials never cease to amaze me”. Neat! says I. Without reading a single word of text above the...

This is in response to the comments from the initial post below. Shout out to everyone who got in on that discussion. As Coup would say…mad respect, bird. I’m just going to bullet some of the overall thoughts I gathered.
First off, the discussion opened my eyes to a couple...

The NBA announced their All-Defensive first and second teams today. Complete breakdown here. No Blazer made either team but three received votes. Joel Pryzbilla got 7 votes including a first team vote and would have made the cut if a third-team existed. Sadly it does not. Brandon Roy...

Oh, the great PG Dilemma. If I had an STD for everytime someone talked about Portland’s need for a PG I’d probably be dead by now. With Steve Blake’s underwhelming play during Portland’s first-round exit, the spotlight has been pointed directly at the PG position...

Surprised? Shouldn’t be. He’s had it in the bag for awhile now. Didn’t see any mention of who got the other votes, but I’d imagine they were divided between Kobe and Wade.

As we continue into the second round of the playoffs a few things happen. Fanbases see their dreams crushed. Epic games are played. Superstars prove their worth and unsung heroes come out of nowhere. The number of teams shrink from 16 to 8. The sense of urgency and intensity go up...

Here were my first round picks. With the exception of Portland and Miami (they are down 15 late in the second, I don’t see it happening) I was pretty spot on. 6 out of 8 isn’t so bad. I even nailed Denver winning in 5 and Cleveland winning in 4 so yay me.

I’ve finally come to grips with it. The future is now. A big off-season coming up for Kevin Pritchard, Nate McMillan and co. It’s a different kind of off-season than they are used to. No longer does their need to be a concentrated effort on trying to re-build. Now we’...

Sleep actually took a lot of the sting out of this one. Probably one of my better decisions in a while. Looking back I probably would have sounded like a crazed 16 year old boy/girl who is in one of those ‘OMG the world is over’ type fights with their significant other and end up [...]

The first insult was with 1:30 left in the game my female roommate yelling at me that the game was over and to turn it to Grey’s Anatomy, even though we have a DVR. And then, as if losing and having to write about it wasn’t bad enough this happened. I somehow managed to organize [...]

FOX26 Houston (and now ESPN) report that Von Wafer is out of tonight’s Game 6 courtesy of back spasms caused by a bulging disc. The links are here and here.
Well. Raise your hand if you thought Von Wafer missing a game would ever be significant? All jokes aside, this...

I’m not making it up. (Credit: Lake Show Life)
I have no words. Perhaps in Ron-Ron’s world he’s trying to play mental games with both Roy and Kobe at once. Ya know, kill Roy with kindness and try and engage Kobe in a 1-on-1 battle. Then again, this is Ron Artest and...

The main reasons why the Portland Trail Blazers season remains alive? LaMarcus Aldridge stepping up in a big way, Brandon Roy leaving everything he had on the floor and a 15-0 run.
Also, they finally went out and took a game in this series.
Its Aldridge who deserves a ton of credit...

To quote The Rock…it doesn’t matter.

That one hurt just about everybody. When that final buzzer sounded, it hurt you, your heart, your girlfriend, your brother, your dog and the rose bush in the yard. It’s okay, I get it. It hurt me, too, and the only thing that made me feel better was “T.R.O.Y.” by...

Elephant in the room before we go any further with this one. This loss isn’t all on Steve Blake’s late three-pointer so just stop it. Was it an absolutely horrible decision? Duh. Was Blake one of the reasons why Portland lost? Yes. But, to say that play is the reason...
