Hamlin vs. Keselowski: Is This What Revenge and Rivalry is Coming to in NASCAR?
30 years ago, in the 1979 Daytona 500, a pair of drivers fought a war against each other for 200 laps. On the last of those, the two made contact battling for the win in NASCAR’s most prestigious event, lost control of their cars, and careened into the outside wall.
Neither of them won, and afterwards, [...]

Kyle Busch Wins Nationwide Championship
After 5 years of trying, Kyle Busch won his first championship in one of NASCAR’s premier divisions. Busch merely needed to start Saturday’s race at Homestead-Miami Speedway to clinch the NASCAR Nationwide Series title.
But that wasn’t enough for Busch, who held of a Kansas-like charge from his Nationwide Series rival, Carl Edwards, to win the [...]

Jimmie Johnson is Happy With His Team; Kasey Kahne Isn’t
Jimmie Johnson and Kasey Kahne both have somewhat similar stories.
One was called “The next Jeff Gordon”, while the other’s car is co-owned by Jeff Gordon. Both came from the Busch(now Nationwide) Series without much success, each having just one win apiece. Both have driven for just one race team in their Cup careers. Both drivers own [...]

2004 Chase: When Lightning Struck Twice for Jimmie Johnson
Who says lightning can’t strike twice? Oh yeah, Jimmie Johnson:
“I don’t believe lightning can strike twice.”
But of all people, should Jimmie Johnson really be the one to mutter those words? Johnson may have forgotten that, in 2004, lightning did strike twice for the then-third-year driver.
Going into the third race of the inaugural Chase for the [...]

Remember Homestead 2005? Jimmie Johnson Hasn’t Won Yet
The general consensus seems to be that Jimmie Johnson is going to win the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series title. But there is still one more race to be run. And unless the powers-that-be already have the Homestead script written up(and some will argue that they do), this deal isn’t done yet.
Now, you can call [...]

A little late…

…But What If Mark Loses?
By now, there is no secret about who fans will be blaming if Jimmie Johnson ends up falling short of winning a record-breaking fourth-consecutive NASCAR Sprint Cup Series title. The blame, regardless of how many points Johnson were to lose by, in most peoples’ eyes, would fall squarely on the shoulders of David Reutimann and [...]

Don’t Hate the 77(or 00)!
Raise your hand if you’re not a Jimmie Johnson fan. That’s probably a vast majority of you. Now raise your hand if you have heard this phrase at least once this year, whether it be from a 48 fan, or, I don’t know, some major NASCAR website:
“Don’t hate the 48!”
Oh yes, I have seen that [...]

Jimmie Johnson is Mortal!
Race fans, we have official confirmation. Contrary to popular belief, Jimmie Johnson is NOT immortal in the Chase.
3 laps into Sunday’s Dickies 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, Johnson attempted to pass Sam Hornish Jr. on the high side in turn 2. It didn’t work.
Hornish was tapped by David Reutimann, and then slid up the track into Johnson’s [...]
