Orange Splits In Final Scrimmage
The eighth-ranked Orange men’s lacrosse team split two games in its final preseason scrimmage Sunday, Feb. 12 in the Carrier Dome. Syracuse defeated No. 7 Maryland, 11-9, in its opening game before losing to Canisius, 11-10, in the second half of the doubleheader.

#2 Orange and Cardinals Meet in Big Monday Matchup
No. 2/2 Syracuse (25-1, 12-1) plays the first of two consecutive road games on Monday, Feb. 13 when it takes on No. 24/23 Louisville (20-5, 8-4) in the KFC Yum! Center at 7 p.m. The Orange and Cardinals both used scoring runs in the final minutes of action to record victories on Saturday.

Whelan Finishes First In Mile At Cornell
Freshman Joseph Whelan’s first place finish in the mile run with a BIG EAST qualifying time of 4:17.34 led the charge for the Syracuse track and field team this weekend at the Kane Invitational in Ithaca, N.Y. The Orange had 12 top-ten finishes on the day, and will travel to New York City for next weekend’s BIG EAST Championships at the Armory.

The Syracuse women's basketball team outscored No. 20/17 Louisville, 22-11 over the final 6:30 of the first half to cut what was a 21-point deficit to 11 at halftime, 51-40, at the KFC Yum! Center. Junior Alyscha Mottershead has returned to campus to train with her Syracuse teammates after playing with and against some of the greatest women’s soccer players in the world at the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Vancouver.
