How Valuable Are Top 100 Recruits?
After taking the NIT crown, Stanford returns most of its top talent and has 2 top-100 recruits, Rosco Allen and Grant Verhoven, coming to The Farm. The team has not had this much talent since at least 2008. But how much impact can Cardinal fans expect from the much-hyped rookies?

Predicting Stanford-Oklahoma State: Fiesta Bowl Edition
Stanford's second consecutive BCS bowl likely won't be another 28-point blowout. Oklahoma State will give Stanford a much harder fight than Virginia Tech did last January, and OSU is arguably the best team on Stanford's 2011 schedule.

Quick Reads: Stanford-Notre Dame
Stanford likely solidified its place in a BCS bowl, knocked off a quasi-rival and gave Andrew Luck his final Heisman Trophy show-off platform in a fairly straight-forward victory over Notre Dame. The 28-14 Cardinal win ends the team's regular season, albeit without assurance of what the postseason will bring.

Quick Reads: Stanford-Cal
Little about Stanford's victory in the 114th playing of Big Game will inspire much confidence in the Cardinal. But in putting away Cal in a surprisingly close 31-28 tilt, Stanford keeps the Axe on the Farm and lives to fight another BCS week. Here are your Big Game Quick Reads.

Predicting Stanford-Cal
Stanford doesn't enter the 114th playing of Big Game the way it wanted to: that much is certain. But even with the Oregon loss likely looming large in the minds and emotions of the players, Cardinal coaching staff and certainly the fans, Stanford could potentially still nab a BCS bowl berth at season's end.

Quick Reads: Stanford-Oregon
For all the hype about Saturday night's primetime game in Stanford Stadium, everything came down to one key distinction: Oregon was simply, and obviously, the better team in its 53-30 drubbing of Stanford. The Ducks' win levels the teams' overall records at 9-1 but gives Oregon a perfect 7-0 conference record while Stanford slips to 7-1 in the Pac-12.

Predicting Stanford-Oregon
Big Game might still be over a week away, but there's little doubt that the biggest game of Stanford's regular season will happen this Saturday in Stanford Stadium. Oregon comes into town as the only legitimate challenger to Stanford's berth in the inaugural Pac-12 championship game, the #7 team in the country and the last team to beat the Card.

Quick Reads: Stanford-Oregon State
This story is awfully familiar: Stanford shook off a poor opening half to finish strong and extend the longest active winning streak in college football. Even with the 38-13 win over Oregon State in Corvallis, not everything came up roses for the Card, which increasingly seem to be facing stiffer challenges to winning out and earning a berth in the Rose Bowl or the national championship game.

Predicting Stanford-Oregon State
Stanford is 8-0 with 2/3 of the regular season through, is ranked fourth in the country in the AP poll and the BCS (and 3rd in the coaches' poll) and has a realistic shot at winning a berth in the national championship game. But for all of those reasons, some people are worried about Stanford's trip to Corvallis this weekend.

Predicting Stanford-USC
Stanford has entered the difficult half of its 2011 football schedule, and USC should be the most talented adversary the Card face until Oregon comes to Palo Alto in a couple of weeks. Regardless of who wins on Saturday in Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the evening will be a test by which both teams will be able to judge how high to aim in the home stretch of the fall.

Campus Questions: USC Trojans
Stanford and Southern California have been playing each other for an awfully long time, but we wanted to the skinny on this year's team from a writer that covers the Trojans every day. Michael Katz of The Daily Trojan, USC's student newspaper, was kind enough to answer questions about USC, game plans and how Saturday's game will end up.
