"We need to stay humble or we will be humbled." Good advice for the Titans and for the presidential nominees! No resting on laurels allowed.

Training Camp Tomorrow!
It starts tomorrow. Are you ready? I always find it a bit funny that they train at Baptist Sports Camp. Does that mean they’ll get some extra prayers for the season? It never hurts to have the big guy on your side, right?

Aloha from Hawaii and the Pro Bowl
The Pro Bowl last week was an awesome way to forget that football season ended earlier this month, and three of our Titans were in it! Here's a pic from their stay in Hawaii. And maybe it's the angle... and the fact that she's standing next to 300+ pound men... but that girl needs a sandwich.

Shocker
Could I have been more wrong with my last blog. I should have never lost the faith. The Titans celebrate thier win over houston last Sunday but even greater is the fact that this is the first time in 39 games that the team has won 2 in a row. Looks like Vince Young might have been a good choice. ...

No Beginner's Luck for the Titans' Vince Young
But, hey, he is young. And the jump from the NCAA to the NFL is a huge one for everybody. I was very happy for a very little while, when Vince had Tennessee up 3-0. Before the sacks, the interceptions, and the fumble took their toll. Like I said, he's young. And we were up against the Dallas Cow...

Don't read this unless you have a cuddly side.
Little Bella Bolla is the newest edition to my family. She is a Calico kitten of seven months. Her new favorite trick is bag jumping. Bella will jump inside paper bags, empty or full, and rattle around in them popping up to bite the edge of the bag every once in a while. I've got three pictures of it...

Titanic new talent ahead!
When you've only won 4 games it's easy to put a lot of pressure on your new players. But hey, that's their job. Like everyone else I'm very excited about the emergence of Longhorn Vince Young as a QB for us Tennessee Titans. I also predict good things from our two new boys from Utah, Spencer Toone a...

Gimme an M! Gimme an L! Gimme Matt Leinart!
The Tennessee Titans seem pretty interested in Matt Leinart. It would be nice to get him in the draft, but every time I get excited about a player like him they end up going to another team. So I am not going to think it. This is me not thinking about Leinart. Putting him out of my mind… It is not ...

Titans Player Building Bad Reputation
Albert Haynesworth, Tennessee Titans defensive tackle, was charged with reckless endangerment for allegedly running a car off the road. The player turned himself in on the charges. He was seen by the victims of his dangerous driving and was reported to police after the incident occurred. It is sad t...

True Southern Gentlemen
These true southern gentlemen have been playing south of the Mason-Dixon line since 1960 when the team originated in Houston, Texas with Head Coach Lou Rymkus as the houston Oilers. I remember going to football games with my father and friends shouting Luv Ya Blue! That is until 1996 when after a f...

Haynesworth is a worthless thug.
A five game suspension? You've got to be kidding me. How in the world is he not in jail? This guy is a menace to society. Not only did he stomp on someone's face in full public view, but he also got into it with a ref and his own coach. Will nobody stop him? Why is attempted murder acceptable if ...

Texan Titans
It's time, It's time. Time for the Titans to face off against the city that shunned them. Both teams are freshly rested off of a bye week but the Titans will have to play harder than ever to take home a win even with the home crowd. The Titans season this far has been pitiful and the team has not w...

Titans' Home By Any Other Name
I'm past griping about corporate entities slapping their names onto everything in sports. I don't like it, but I'm resigned to it, since it is actually more the rule than the exception. Some of it, like the Peach Bowl turning into the Chik-fil-A Bowl, bugs me a lot. But the Tennesse Titans' home w...

Titans Get An Honorable Mention
Gregg Easterbrook, who writes for ESPN's website in the guise of the Tuesday Morning Quarterback, included one of Vince Young's moves in the game against the Baltimore Ravens as a "Sweet Play of teh Week." It was when about-to-be-tackled Vince tossed the ball laterally to Bo Scaife, who scurried do...

Tennessee makes some impressive additions
Drafting Vince Young, who was a do-it-all QB for the Texas Longhorns, was exciting news. From what I've heard about Vince, he 'll add a positive note to our games even if his first role is watching Billy Volek do the quarterbacking for awhile. We also got some seasoned players, and I am impressed w...

David Garrardian?
David Garrard got hit, and hit hard on Sunday against the Titans. Twice during the game he was double sacked. I cannot imagine what it must feel like to have two 300 pound linemen ripping you to the ground. Even still he, on his second start this season, took the Jaguars to a 37-7 victory over the...

Finally getting ready to start up again...
According to http://www.titansonline.com/news/newsmain_detail.php?PRKey=4852, the Tennessee Titans begin training camp at Baptist Sports Park in Nashville, Tenn., on Friday, July 27. Could it really be that soon? Thank god! Summers are way too long without football.

Titans back to work
Training camp will return for the Titans in only 2 1/2 months, as team members were reminded at this week's mini-camp practice at Baptist Sports Park. That leaves little time to get back into shape, get coordinated, and build the relationships necessary for a team to succeed. Anything to worry about? Nah, comes up every year.

Preseason matchups announced
The NFL officially announced the preseason games for the coming 2007 season. We'll be playing host to the Packers and the Redskins, and we'll visit New England and Buffalo in the middle two of the four weekends. I'm psyched about it already - may try and catch that Packers game myself.

Oh where, oh where ...
What team with a $20 million budget would miss the opening week of free agency? Where in the world is coach Jeff Fischer? Let's hope that Fischer's vacation doesn't cost Titans a fortune in NFL talent.

Again for the win
If you missed last Sunday's T-n-T match up then you need to find out which of your friends recorded it. The Tennessee Titans came back from 8 points down against The Houston Texans to tying up this game for some overtime. Once again this Houston Native and former UT star quarterback showed the Texans up by running a 36 year Quarterback sneak for the touchdown and the win....

Titans from Tennesee are larger than New York Giants
The Tennessee Titans were scoreless for more than 50 of the 60 minutes of Sunday's game against the New York Giants. With less than 10 minutes to go and a defecit of 21 points, the Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Vince Young, formerly of the University of Texas Longhorns, led his team to 3 touchdowns on 3 consecutive drives. Rob Bironas came through with 6 seconds left...

Titans Ground the Philadelphia Eagles
Of course, genuine sports fans don’t want to win because the other team’s star gets hurt, but feeling bad about the Eagles’ starting quarterback Donovan McNabb’s torn knee ligament wouldn’t have gotten him back in the game. In fact, after his surgery, he’ll likely need eight months or more to recover. Meanwhile, Philly and Tennessee had over half a game to finish. ...
