Rockets Add Tom Matukewicz, Stan Watson to Football Staff
University of Toledo head football coach Matt Campbell announced the addition of two assistants to the Rockets' staff today. Former Northern Illinois assistant Tom Matukewicz will join the Rockets as the defensive coordinator/linebackers coach, while former Bowling Green staffer Stan Watson will coach the cornerbacks and serve as special teams coordinator.

Rockets to Play Home-and-Home Football Series vs. Cincinnati; Will Host Bearcats Next Fall
The University of Toledo will play the University of Cincinnati in a home-and-home football series beginning with a game at the Glass Bowl next fall, UT Athletic Director Mike O'Brien announced today. The Rockets will host the Bearcats on Oct. 20, 2012 and travel to Nippert Stadium on Sept. 13, 2014.

The University of Toledo will open the gates at Savage Arena at 4:00 p.m. for the men's basketball game vs. Cleveland State on Dec. 28 so that fans attending the game may watch the Military Bowl football game between Toledo and Air Force at 4:30 p.m. Tip-off for the basketball game is 8:00 p.m.

Toledo junior Eric Page (Toledo, OH) has been named third-team All-America by Phil Steel Publications at "all purpose" back. In addition, Steele put Page on its first-team All-MAC team at wide receiver and punt returner.

Rockets Resume Practice, Wait for Word on Bowl Bid
The University of Toledo resumed football practice today at the Fetterman Training Center after a five-day break following their 45-28 victory at Ball State on Nov. 25. The Rockets (8-4, 7-1 MAC) are preparing for an unknown opponent at an unknown bowl destination. Their post-season destiny probably will not be known until Sunday, the deadline for bowls to extend their invitations.
