Houston Football returned to the practice fields on Tuesday. The Cougars were rewarded with a few days off for the holidays and returned to the practice fields this afternoon with an efficient, two-hour preparation session. The day began at 3 p.m. with meetings and finished shortly after 5 p.m. on the practice fields.

Tony Levine Named Houston's Head Football Coach
University of Houston Director of Athletics Mack Rhoades announced that Tony Levine has been named the school's 12th head football coach. Levine spent the previous four seasons as an assistant coach at UH, including the final two as the assistant head coach and special teams coordinator. He was named the Interim Head Coach on Dec. 10 before taking the reins permanently today.
