Full Court Press: Knicks Open With Win vs. Celts, 2011 Pictures of the Year, Lady Gaga Looking Umm Good

Click on photo to read more about the NBA’s Opening Game The NBA played this one well. There wasn’t SH$T on TV yesterday in terms of sports so we were forced to watch the NBA Games. The games were decent. Should we start to wonder if the Heat are going to dominate this year after one game? I’m saying, yes, as stupid as that is. The Press One more NBA link – 5 Observations...

Throwing Your Girlfriend into a Christmas Tree isn’t Really the Holiday Spirit

What a lovely Christmas and Holiday Season…. for some. As we wrap up the holidays here it’s important to identify some people that weren’t exactly spreading cheer. I have to fault both players here. The girl shouldn’t be blowing her man up in a Christmas Tree lot. The dude, well, you just shouldn’t lay your hands on your chick. What do you think??? I hate that I laughed.

Cheating Boyfriend Gets Served on Christmas Day!

Just spreading the Christmas spirit in Green Bay last night. Good Heavens. I really don’t think this is the type of sh$t you want to be flashing around on National Television. I mean this chick is kind of attractive, but what if she pushed her boyfriend away to another woman. Either way, I wouldn’t be publicizing that kind of sh#t. Just saying… Big ups to Busted Coverage for the photo

GOTTA SUPPORT THE TEAM

Photo Gallery: Sports fans of the week

How about these little sports fans? Kobe’s gonna have a field day now that he’s a free man. Well it’s not like he didn’t have one while married anyway. 105 women? Jesus dude. Take it easy why don’t you? Anyway, last week we heard plenty of stories and had an equal amount of drama. But if there’s one consistent force in sports, it’s the fans. And we...

Final Week of 2011 Face-off: Who Was A Bigger Chump This Year?

The last week of 2011 here at Unathletic is going to be full of head-to-head matches. Today’s match: Who was the Bigger Chump This Year? In one corner, we have Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson. Johnson started off this year on the wrong foot by holding out.  During the summer training camp prior to the 2011 season, Johnson initially did not show up to camp, pending...

The Cincinnati Bengals Have To Ask Fans To Come To Their Huge Season Finale

The Cincinnati Bengals have locked up just their third winning record in the last 21 years and are one win away from a playoff bid, but the team’s biggest victory this season would be getting fans to show up. With paltry attendance marking an impressive season in Cincinnati, Bengals players are now asking for fans to turn out for the team’s home finale against AFC North...

Canadian Hoops Vancouver Volcanoes Dancers

Being from New York or should I even say the United States, I don’t really think about other countries playing basketball.   What I mean by that is that it’s not like I don’t know they have hoops in other countries but if it’s not the NBA or NCAA then I don’t have much to think about.   It’s not like I’m following the Chinese league, nor should I. But maybe I should...

The Best of the Best: The Best Individual in Each of the 5 Major Sports Today

We’re going for it today my friends. Just going for it. No posturing or velvet ropes, we’re cutting right to the chase – Who is the single best “player” in the NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, and the world of soccer? Admittedly, this task is next to impossible, but we’re giving it a go anyway. What criteria are we using? Well, it’s broad, but relatively effective. We obviously...

Click on photo to read about a College Football Reunion Well, let’s be honest; Lawrence, Kansas isn’t ever going to be a football town. Basketball is the number one there and will not be threatened. However, this is a neat little story. Does it make Kansas better? Not really, but it’s neat. Happy Holidays. The Press Check out Biebs try and get his hockey on with the Toronto...

Crazy Scene: Fan Attacks Player, Ajax v AZ Match Gets Suspended

The match between Ajax Amsterdam and AZ Alkmaar on Wednesday was abandoned due to an incident with a fan. Check out the gnarly scene above. Soccer is definitely one of those sports that fans get involved a little too much. Check out the video of the accidental incident [Esteban Alvarado Fight] I cannot believe the goalie got a red card for defending himself from a crazy fan that’s ridiculous.

Nothing better than a little fun to send people off into the Holiday Weekend with a smile. To be honest, some of the funnier stuff we’ve posted on Unathletic has been people wiping out on ice. Hit the jump and you can watch a video of people attacking icy stairs and failing!

The Cardinals Are Going to Be OK Without Pujols

The St. Louis Cardinals and centerfielder Carlos Beltran have agreed on a two-year contract, according to Derrick Goold of St. Lous Post-Dispatch. Beltran, 34, has been a hot commodity on the free agent market, especially drawing interest from St. Louis after slugger Albert Pujols departed to join the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Losing Pujols is a killer. He was the heart and...

NBA Free Agency Highlights Thus Far

Finally!  After a prolonged lockout and a shortened offseason complete with fascinating trades and signings, the NBA is about to be back in action.   This means that it’s time to get those arena tickets, or sign up for the  NBA package (I like TV Direct)  in order to make sure that you can partake in all the action. It’s a bit of a shame to admit it, but the lockout seems...

Sprinbok Sevens Rugby Has Some Quality Cheerleaders

I don’t know too much about Rugby but like any other sport they have their cheerleaders.   Now from what I understand there’s a Rugby contingent called the “Sevens.”    I could be completely off here but I think that’s what it’s called.   And within this there are a number of teams from different countries and so forth. Today I think we’re focusing on the Springbok...

Ric Flair Jr. Has Classic Video Game Episode

This video has so many awesome elements within it, I just couldn’t resist posting it. Most noticeably, look at this kid’s head of hair. He’s like a Pantene commercial for heaven’s sake. Secondly, how awesome is this dog. The dog just strolls in, looks at the situation, and goes, “f$ck I hate these kids”. Next, we have to go back to the beginning; Are these kids listening...

Sports Play of the Week: How a Ref Gets Rid of His Gum

Here is a clip from the Toronto Maple Leafs vs Los Angeles  Kings game.  This ref gets caught sticking his gum on the glass, inside the penalty box. The guy in there ends up taking it off and properly disposing it afterwards. You know what I’d really love to see? Refs get into a huge brawl in the NHL. I mean it’s gotta happen at least once right? Better Celebration This Week: Colton Orr Tebowing vs. Reggie Bush Sliding

Should we give Reggie Bush a tiny bit of respect this week? Just a tiny bit? The Dolphins running back took home AFC Offensive Player of the Week, and also had a pretty sweet end zone celebration to go with it. But was his celebration better than Colton Orr’s? That’s going to be a tough one. We’ve seen a lot of pretty nice celebrations this season. I don’t know if anything...

An Open E-mail to Rex Ryan & Tom Coughlin Ahead of This Weekend’s Big Game

Dear Tom & Rex, First, let me congratulate you both for…. Well, nothing. I believe it is safe to say that you two individuals may be leading the most underachieving teams in the NFL. Furthermore, it’s a rare occurrence that one express disdain for two completely different individuals at the same time. One can imagine how excited I am to watch a game this weekend where one...
