As most of you know Shane Hmiel drove for NASCAR until he tested positive for drugs. He has been racing in the USAC circuit and was qualifying for the SUMAR Classic when he had a horrific wreck.

Accident claims life of Alcohol Dragster competitor in Seattle

Junior's car was awful all night, however towards the closing laps he managed to get up to 8th briefly. I figured on a top 15 for him and that was it. I never thought it my wildest dreams that the rest of the race would unfold like it did.
