New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski had the pleasure of doing the ol' Bristol Car Wash today as part of SportsNation's Madden cover vote. As an added perk, he got to sit behind the anchor desk with Chris McKendry for the live open to the 11 AM ET episode of SportsCenter. The result was like watching a botched "This is SportsCenter" commercial as Gronk introduces himself twice and teases Robert Griffin's third recovery...
GRONKOWSKI WILL READ ANYTHING ON THAT TELEPROMPTER!!!
Another great moment in SportsCenter history. Later in SportsCenter, Gronk called some Patriots highlights and dropped "It's on like Gronkey Kong," which needs to become the new "boom goes the dynamite" now.
I'll give Gronkowski credit for giving it the old college try, but I think it's safe to say his calling isn't in television. It's catching touchdown passes, suplexing guys on stages, and broness.
On a side note, are we sure Gronk and Ryan Lochte aren't the same person? At the very least, can we put these two together for a bumbling buddy cop drama? I'm thinking something along the lines of The Other Guys, except, you know, funny.
