Defense in Review, sacks
One last stop on the review of the defense....sacks. Did BG do a better job of getting to the QB in 2010 than it did in 2011? BG did have Chris Jones, MAC's #2 sack man, and went from 13 sacks in 2010 to 15 in 2011. That moved the Falcons from a tie for 7th to sole possession of 7th. The Absolute Worst Player Of College Football Week 8- Jamel Martin
Jamel Martin is the backup Freshman Running Back for the Bowling Green Falcons. Chris Jones MAC East Defensive POTW
Chris Jones is getting props for his big night in Idaho...he is truly a force that has to be dealt with on the line. While Jones had just three tackles in the 32-15 win at Idaho, he made the most of all three opportunities. The junior had three tackles for loss, two sacks and a forced fumble as the Falcons held Idaho to just 280 yards of total offense and 2-of-12 on third downs.
