Video: Georgia Tech Goes Trippy Mane at Home Games
I give you… Georgia Tech’s new intro video. Outside of giving 3 out of every 10 viewers a seizure, it also has done wonders for the GT offense who is averaging 53 points and 398 rushing yards a game. I truly hope the next step in this video lifespan will be for Paul Johnson to [...]

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have the eye of the tiger(s)
First of all congratulations to the Yellow Jackets for not only the win, but their outstanding effort on both sides of the ball for all sixty minutes on Saturday. After the recent road difficulties the prior two weeks, this was a much needed game to fuel this team for the remainder of the schedule. Now Georgia Tech has to take advantage of some home cooking the balance of the...

The Kansas Jayhawks are road kill after the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets establish NCAA history
After last season’s upset loss in Lawrence, Kansas Coach Paul Johnson upheld nature’s law of lightning not striking twice by not only dismantling the Jayhawks, but for good measure setting an NCAA rushing record in the process. So now Kansas is going to be carried into the record books of college football as the Yellow Jackets averaged over twelve yards per rushing attempt...

VIDEO: Georgia Tech’s Stephen Hill makes amazing one-handed catch
Many of you probably saw either a picture of Atlanta Falcons rookie Julio Jones making an unreal one-handed catch in pre-game warm-ups prior to the matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.
This catch by Georgia Tech’s 6’5″ wideout Stephen Hill was en par with Jones’ catch– if not better– given it was in-game and made on a wounded duck of a throw.
Talk about...

They had a devil of a time but Georgia Tech wins at Duke
Watching the Yellow Jackets first drive of the game go nowhere and resulting in a punt was not giving me a positive vibe. After seeing CPJ’s expression on the sideline it was obvious that he was in meltdown mode as well. Then if that wasn’t aggravating enough, seeing Duke go 59 yards in four plays scoring a touchdown right down the middle of the field to a wide open...

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets: 2011 Exit Survey
Georgia Tech took advantage of their early schedule and jumped out to a 6-0 record and were ranked as high as #12 in the country. The season turned in Charlottesville when the upstart Cavs pulled off the upset of the Jackets. Georgia Tech went just 2-5 (including the bowl loss to Utah) to close the season and left a bitter taste in Paul Johnson's mouth and lots of questions to...

A preview of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets v. North Carolina Tar Heels
The North Carolina Tar Heels come into this game undefeated after defeating James Madison 42 to 10 to open the season; Rutgers 24 to 22; and this past weekend beat Virginia 28 to 17 to take a one game lead over Georgia Tech in the Coastal Division of the ACC. This will also be the Tar Heels first road game of the season when they play the Yellow Jackets this Saturday at BDS....

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets prepare for the team from the land of Toto
I was in Lawrence, Kansas around this time last year and unfortunately watched the game between the Yellow Jackets and the Jayhawks. While the game started off fairly well for Georgia Tech scoring a touchdown on their initial drive to begin the game, any momentum from that first possession quickly evaporated as numerous mistakes were made and the offensive line was just unable...

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets let the coastal division title slip away
Georgia Tech entered this game against the Hokies with a chance to take control of the ACC Coastal Division only needing a loss by UVA in any of their remaining games to win the title outright. While the Yellow Jackets played hard and battled all night they did not make the plays necessary when needed, but in the end the Hokies did. So congratulations to Virginia Tech who will...

Ga. Tech tries to outdo UGA with Coke display
Is this the new hotness—store displays created out of Coke products showcasing college football teams? Or is this just a Georgia thing? Whatever it is, I think this Georgia Tech display trumps the Georgia display I featured a couple of days ago, in both grandeur and creativity.
Even though the Yellow Jackets football team will more than likely suck ass this year, at least...

Former Georgia Tech offensive tackle Phil Smith will transfer to Central Florida to complete his college career.
Smith, a two-year starter for the Yellow Jackets, left the team following the season after two separate suspensions. Smith will graduate from Tech with a management degree in May and will be immediately eligible to play. Central Florida is coached by former Tech coach...

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets get it done in the 4th quarter to defeat North Carolina
This opening ACC Coastal Division game against North Carolina at BDS was going to determine for the first time how this Yellow Jacket team was going to respond facing highly recruited athletes on both sides of the football, especially in the trenches. The triple option was working once again and the few times that it did bog down was due to Georgia Tech turning the ball over on...

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets come up wide against the Utes in the Sun Bowl
Well it only took a postgame trip to grab a bite after the game before I had to endure the same comments that have been echoed after every Georgia Tech Bowl Loss under Coach Paul Johnson. So in the ten minutes it took for the restaurant to prepare my take out meal while I waited in the foyer some unknown, uninvited, and dimwitted ignoramus upon seeing my Yellow Jacket gear asked...

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 2011 Recruiting Class; Backs, Receivers, and Athletes
Given my penchant for highlighting a successful football player that was able to fall between the cracks of the infallible stars rating based recruiting services, I would like to start this final recruiting segment with yet another example of their flaws. This past Super Bowl Sunday there was another zero stars player roaming all over the field making tackles for the soon to be...

Ga. Tech Insider: Seniors look to level series
The Yellow Jackets' small senior class has a chance to do something no Tech class has done since 2002: Finish with a .500 record against Georgia.
The class would be 2-2 if it wins Saturday. Tech rallied to win 45-42 in 2008, then lost 30-24 and 42-34 the last two years.
The seniors, including A-back Roddy Jones and linebacker Steven Sylvester, began their careers when coach...

Georgia Tech's Hill entering NFL draft
Stephen Hill says he is bypassing his senior season at Georgia Tech to enter the NFL draft.
Hill caught 28 passes for 820 yards, including five for touchdowns, this season. He led FBS players and set a school record with his average of 29.3 yards per catch.
Hill said Thursday he is ''ready to move forward and work on getting better.''
The 6-foot-5, 200-pound Hill had 49 catches...

Check out Georgia Tech’s new intro video for home football games. I have no clue how to “trippy mane,” but whatever it is these guys just convinced me to bet them this week against NC State.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs Utah Utes – Sun Bowl
Georgia Tech (8-4) vs Utah (7-5)
I find Georgia Tech quite hard to assess. I say this because even though they started out 6-0, they finished the season a measly 2-4 with terrible games against Miami, VT, and UGA.
Paul Johnson is in his fourth season with the Yellow Jackets, and like Northwestern and Fitzi, Johnson has been to 3 bowls and is winless in all of them. Johnson needs...

Georgia Tech linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu has been suspended for the first half of Saturday's game at Duke for throwing a punch at Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas.

Washington gives boost to Georgia Tech's attack
Tevin Washington is aiming for Joe Hamilton's passing standards at Georgia Tech.
That should be no surprise.
There has been a great deal of futility in the passing game at Georgia Tech since Hamilton completed his career in 1999 as the Heisman Trophy runner-up.
Washington is in position to end the school's streak of nine straight years where the starting quarterback had...

Washington doing just enough for Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech quarterback Tevin Washington is delighted his team finally has a balanced offense.
The No. 21 Yellow Jackets lead the nation in total offense, rushing, scoring and - surprisingly - pass efficiency.
Hardly anyone expected Georgia Tech (4-0, 1-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) to be much of a threat in the air this season after it finished 2010 ranked 113th in pass efficiency...
