Idaho advances in WAC Tourney

IN A SEE-SAW BATTLE in the first round of the Western Athletic Conference tournament, the Vandals picked up their first WAC Tourney win with a 73-70 victory over Kansas City. Idaho was led by senior forward STEPHEN MADISON who scored 26 points and added a career-high 17 rebounds. The fifth-seeded Vandals will take on top-seeded and regular season champ Utah Valley at 6 p.m. (PT) on Friday.
