The Iowa Hawkeyes have named their new defensive coordinator and have promoted Phil Parker.
Parker has been a member of Kirk Ferentz’s staff since he became the head coach at Iowa 13 seasons ago. He was the secondary coach, and now takes over as the defensive coordinator for Norm Parker (no relation), who retired at the end of the season.
