The Jaguars placed linebacker Bryan Smith on injured reserve today, the team announced. Smith is out for the year with a shoulder injury after starting two games this year. Rookie defensive end Jeremy Navarre (Maryland) was promoted to the active roster from the practice squad.

Suffice it to say that we know absolutely nothing about the Terps. One game, they can look like a balanced offense with a bend-but-don't-break defense. Other times, they look like they could easily be Clemson; full of talent and short on execution.
