The awards keep coming in for sophomore line backer Bruce Carter. From the ACC web page it says that the conference has selected its players of the week. Carter was selected as the "Specialist" for this week, an award that has won by other two Heels this season.

While North Carolina didn't play this weekend, none the less, the end results for the Tar Heels in the AP and ESPN/USA Today polls were favorable ones. UNC moved up in each of the polls this week, and stand as the 19th ranked squad in both of them.

A couple of days ago I wrote about the Tennessee job opening up and the name of Butch Davis being thrown around about a possible replacement. Then yesterday I read an article where Davis' agent believes that his client is going to stay at Chapel Hill for a long time.
