Wolfpack defense holds strong in Belk Bowl

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- N.C. State's defense made a habit this season of coming up with big plays at precisely the right time to help the Wolfpack pick up enough wins to reach the postseason. In Tuesday night's Belk Bowl versus Louisville, the defense was charged with that responsibility again, but this time had to make up for an N.C. State special teams that was dominated by...

You may remember former Tennessee Volunteer football Nu’Keese Richardson. The freshman wide receiver was kicked off the team after police arrested him last November for attempted armed robbery. The Curious Case of Harrison Beck

(Regular HHR contributors Rusty and The Cynic are born-and-bred fans of the North Carolina State Wolfpack and the Nebraska Cornhuskers, respectively. The one thing they have in common is having been suckered into recruiting hype. In time for National Signing Day, we at HHR thought it might be good for them to provide some perspective. Enjoy.)Ah, signing day—the pedophile’s national...

NBA Eastern & Western Conference Finals Preview

Who is the X-factor in the Los Angeles-Denver series? Trevor Ariza. When Ariza is making threes it opens up the Los Angeles defense and allows Kobe Bryant to drive the ball much easier. Derek Fisher has struggled offensively, meaning its up to Ariza to pick up the slack. In game seven [...]

Wolfpack needs big finish to go bowling

The Wolfpack (5-5, 2-4 ACC) is in another of those tight squeezes, losing two of its last three games and on the verge of elimination from the bowl picture. NCAA Football Division I Interception Leader-Bryce Robertson

Although N.C State David Amerson leads the FBS in interceptions with 11, he certainly does not lead the NCAA. The current leader in interceptions is Bucknell’s defensive back Bryce Robertson with 13. Wolfpack Spring Practice: Day 2 – Offensive Backfield

Russell Wilson As alluded to yesterday, one of the two major questions facing the Wolfpack this spring is the future of All-ACC Quarterback Russell Wilson.  Will he stay on the pilot of the ACC’s most prolific offenses for another season or will Mike Glennon be forced to step and take the reins?  Also, who is the favorite to replace Toney Baker and Jamelle Eugene at the tailback...

Still, Gentry has made a tremendous mark on the Wolfpack football program in other ways since his arrival as a preferred walk-on in Raleigh in 2008, pulling...
