The two teams exchanged leads throughout the extra period, and Providence's Gerard Coleman made 1 of 2 free throws to tie it at 84-all with 10 seconds left. West Virginia forward Kevin Noreen suffered a broken ankle Monday night against Pitt, Mountaineer head coach Bob Huggins revealed in his post-game press conference.
