Evander Kane makes little sense for Predators

If the Predators want to get more offensive via trade, there's one more player out there who could help them. Evander Kane of the Winnipeg Jets is a young scorer who would complement first-line winger James Neal on the second line. If character wasn't an issue, Kane, a former 30-goal scorer who is just 22 years old, would be a great fit. Sadly, character is an issue for...

Winnipeg Jets GM Cheveldayoff still looking for help up front

Nearly three weeks into free agency, things are eerily quiet for the Winnipeg Jets. While other teams in the Western Conference — and specifically in the Central Division — continue to add veteran forwards like the Nashville Predators did with Mike Ribeiro and Derek Roy, the Jets have done very little since inking centre Mathieu Perreault to a three-year deal. Jets general...

Would Evander Kane be a good idea for the Preds?

EDITOR’S NOTE: Let’s make one thing perfectly clear. I am not writing this in response to a certain rumor monger. The absolute last thing I want to do — personally and professionally — is give sites like that any publicity or validity. So much so that I won’t mention the person’s site or name. This post was in the works over the past few days, well before he mentioned...

Winnipeg Jets’ mishandling of Evander Kane is legendary

The Winnipeg Jets are not a very good hockey team. This is an obvious statement. Even more obvious, as the already difficult Central Division improves around them, Kevin Cheveldayoff has done very little to improve his team’s chances for the upcoming campaign, instead choosing to rely on drafting and player development to turn the Jets into a contender someday. Which means...

The Winnipeg Jets Off-Season Game Plan

from Scott Cullen of TSN, Many of Winnipeg's core players are in their twenties, in and around their prime years, so while that's reason for optimism, it's also reason for some urgency to take advantage of the kind of production being provided by the likes of Andew Ladd, Blake Wheeler and Dustin Byfuglien. Byfuglien is an interesting case for the Jets, having...

The Latest On Evander Kane From Evander Kane

from Ed Tait of the Winnipeg Free Press, Evander Kane hasn’t exactly snuffed out the trade rumours swirling around him.
