2010 Stockholm - Seeds Robredo, Lopez Beaten; Dent Sets Federer Clash

Croatian qualifier Ivan Dodig overcame a gap of 90 places in the South African Airways 2010 ATP Rankings as he surprised World No. 42 and eighth seed Tommy Robredo 6-3, 6-2 Tuesday in the first round of the If Stockholm Open. The 25-year-old Dodig recorded just his seventh tour-level win of the season, and his first since reaching the second round of the US Open at the expense of an injured Fernando Gonzalez, who retired in their first-round clash. Robredo, a semi-finalist on his Stockholm debut in 2002 (l. to Srichaphan), dropped to a 20-23 mark on the season after suffering his second first-round exit on the ATP World Tour in three weeks.
