Andy Roddick loses mind, decides to skip Olympics

So the best American tennis player is deciding to skip the Olympics and instead defend his Legg Mason title. He says it'll be the best way to tune up for the U.S. Open. Why wouldn't you want to represent your country and try to win Olympic gold?

Andy Roddick making a selfish decision? Shocking!

I know, I was shocked too...

If u look at all past medalist for tennis, none have been major players except Agassi.
He is very patriotic and plays in Davis cup every time unlike othre players such as Federer, or Nadal.
he is doing this in order to represent his country and win the US Open.

ahahah excellet title.

thanks!

Roddick would have lost his mind if he decided to play in the dangerously polluted Beijing Olympics. I don't blame him for skipping it. Expect to see many more athletes saying nay to Beijing.

Haha that picture of Roddick is SO fitting!

He probably figures that winning Davis Cup was enough. If he has any inkling he can win the US Open, he likely doesn't want to exhaust himself by travelling to Bejing and dealing with the Olympic extracurriculars.
